CHAPTER 6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6 -2(a) and 6 -3 OF
CHAPTER 6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 6 -2(a) entitled "Suburban Building Code and
ONE: National Building Code" of Article 1 of Chapter 6 of the
Municipal Code of Deerfield, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by deleting subsection (a) of Section 6 -2 in its
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Section 6 -2. Deerfield Bulding Code and National Building Code.
(a) The erection, repair or alteration of all structures
not regulated by other provisions of this Chapter shall be in
compliance with the provisions of the Deerfield Building Code
of 1979, as to buildings designed for one or two (2) family
occupancy and the 1976 Edition of the National Building Code
recommended by the American Insurance Association as to other
types of construction, which provisions are hereby adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully as if set out at length
herein."
SECTION That Section 6 -3 entitled "Copies of the Suburban Building Code
TWO: and National Building Code on File" of Article 1 of Chapter 6 of
the Municipal Code of Deerfield, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by deleting Section 6 -3 in its entirety and substituting
in lieu thereof the following:
"Section 6 -3. Copies of Deerfield Building Code and National
Building Code on File.
The clerk and the Director of Building and Zoning shall keep
three (3) copies of the Deerfield Building Code of 1979 and the
National Building Code adopted herein on file in his office for
inspection by interested persons during office hours."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or-parts of ordinances in conflict here -
FOUR: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
FIVE: and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law.
