AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 79 -44
ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION OF THE VILLAGE MANAGER
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 79 -44 the Corporate Authorities of the Village
of Deerfield established the salary of the Village Manager through April 30,
1980; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined that cost fluctuations
in the residential housing market in the Village of Deerfield have necessitated
an addition to the Village Manager's salary in the form of a housing allowance
to enable the Village Manager to reside in the Village of Deerfield;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Ordinance 79 -44 be and is hereby amended to establish the
ONE: Village Manager's salary from the effective date of this Ordi-
nance through April 30, 1980, as Thirty -five Thousand Dollars
($35,000) per annum. In addition thereto, the Village Manager shall receive
as a housing allowance, a monthly payment of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)
for a period of eighteen (18) months following the effective date of this
Ordinance beginning December 1, 1979. Thereafter, for the eighteen (18) months
next succeeding, the Village Manager shall receive as a housing allowance a
monthly payment of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per month. Thereafter for
the eighteen (18) months next succeeding, the Village Manager shall receive as
housing allowance a monthly payment of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month.
SECTION The Corporate Authorities may from time to time authorize addi-
TWO: tional compensation under such terms and conditions as they may
establish to meet unanticipated contingencies in an amount not
to exceed $400.00 per month.
SECTION This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
