ORDINANCE NO. 0 -79- 43
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22 -80 OF CHAPTER 22
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 22 -80 entitled "Penalty" of Chapter 22 of the
ONE: Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same
is hereby further amended by adding to subsection (a), "$10.00
Penalty ", the following:
"(9) No parking - snow removal (Section 22 -71);
(10) Violations of Section 22 -129A and 22 -130 prescribing
regulations for parking in Village parking lots, except that said
penalty shall not apply for offenses relating to failure to pay
the required meter parking fee on said lots where applicable;
(11) Violations of Section 22 -165 relating to illegal parking
on portions of .streets which limit parking between the hours of
10:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon."
and by deleting from subsection (a) , "$5.00 Penalty ", the following:
"(8) No parking - snow removal; (Section 22 -71)"
and by deleting the first sentence of the second to last paragraph in its
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"All other parking violations not listed above and described
in Article 12 of Chapter 22 may be settled and compromised
by the payment to the Village of five dollars ($5.00)."
and by adding the following at the end of the second sentence in the second to
last paragraph:
"Failure to pay any fine assessed pursuant to Section 22 -80
within 30 days shall result in an increase of said fine to
twice the amount set forth in said Section."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO:, ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here -
THREE: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
FOUR: and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law.
