O-78-29ORDINANCE NO. 0 -78- 29 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 16 OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD Published in pamphlet form this 19th day of .imp , 1978, by the President and Board of Trustees of Deerfield: ORDINANCE NO. 0-78-29 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 16 OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND.BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 22 -129 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of ONE: Deerfield of 1975, as'amended, entitled "Definitions ", be and the same is hereby further amended by deleting sub- section (a)(6) in its entirety and by adding thereto amended subsection (a) (6) and subsections (a) (7) and (a) (8) as follows: "(a)(6) Lot No. 6 located on the east side of Park Avenue between Deerfield Road and Hazel Avenue. (a)(7) Lot No. 7 located on the east side of Elm Street between Sunset Court and Osterman Avenue, containing 49 parking spaces. (a)(8) Lot No. 8 located on the east side of Elm Street between Osterman Avenue and Central Avenue, containing 32 parking spaces." SECTION That Chapter 22 of-the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975, TWO: as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking Section 22- 129A-- "Parking Fees" in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "(a) No vehicle may be parked in any of Lots 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8 without paying the parking fees established therefor. Parking in Lot 6 shall be limited to residents of the Village.of Deerfield. The parking fee for parking in Lots 3, 5, 7 and 8 shall be $.25 for each 24 hour period, and in Lot 6 the parking shall be $10.00 per month, payable in advance, for a three month period, beginning January 1, 1978. Permits to park in Lot 6 shall be issued to Village residents only on a first come- first served basis. (b) In addition to those penalty provisions prescribed in Section 22 -158 of this Article, any person violating any provisions of this Section may have his vehicle towed from any of Lots 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8, impounded by the Village and shall thereafter be assessed an im- pounding charge of $15.00 and a storage cost of $5.00 per day or fraction thereof for each day the vehicle is impounded. (c) All fees and charges imposed by subsection (b) shall be paid to the Village Treasurer and, upon presentation of a proper receipt from the Village Treasurer, the person in charge of the Village's auto pound shall release the vehicle in accordance with the provisions of this Section." SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here - FOUR: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from FIVE: and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
