AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND
TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written Petition.for Annexation under oath by the First National
Bank of Arlington Heights as Trustee under Trust No. A628, William P. Sellas and
Kathleen A. Sellas, as the owners of record of certain territory hereinafter
described,'has been filed with the Village Clerk requesting that said territory
be annexed to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of any munici-
pality but is contiguous to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory is within the corporate limits of the Northbrook
Rural Fire Protection District and more than ten days prior to action being taken
with respect to the Petition to Annex said territory, the Trustees of said District
were notified in writing 6f the filing of said Petition to Annex by certified mail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That all the territory described on Exhibit A attached hereto
ONE: and made a part hereof and the full rights -of -way of all included
and adjoining streets and highways as shown on an accurate map of-
such territory which is attached hereto, and made a part hereof as Exhibit B,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook
Counties, Illinois.
SECTION That the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield is hereby
TWO: directed to file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois, being the County in which said annexed terri-
tory is situated, a copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map of
the territory hereby annexed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield is further
THREE: directed to file an Affidavit of Service of Notice on the
Trustees of the Northbrook Rural Fire Protection District,
as provided by law.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
FOUR: after its passage and approval, and when a copy thereof with an
accurate map is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds,
Cook County, Illinois, thereupon said territory shall be subject to the juris-
diction and ordinances of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois.
