WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield have deemed
it desirable to expand local public transportation facilities for the convenience
of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield have previously
made application to the Regional Transit Authority for financial assistance in
effectuating a one year demonstration program of a local facility to be known as
the "Mini -Bus Program "; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Transit Authority has given its preliminary approval
to the effectuation of a one year demonstration program of the Mini -Bus facility
as presented to the Regional Transit Authority by the Corporate Authorities,.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the adoption of the one year Mini -Bus demonstration
ONE: program as previously presented to the Regional Transit
Authority as part of the grant application is hereby
approved.
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield agrees to expend up to
TWO: $9,000.00 during the one year demonstration program for
the effectuation and implementation of the Mini -Bus trans-
portation program as presented to the Regional Transit Authority.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a
THREE: certified copy of this Resolution to the Regional Transit
Authority in order to comply with the rules and regulations
of the Regional Transit Authority applicable to the Mini -Bus Program.
