AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 16 -23 of Chapter 16 of the Municipal Code
ONE: of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, adopting
by reference an enactment known as "Village of Deerfield
Sewer User and Industrial Cost Recovery Code ", be and the same is hereby
further amended by deleting Section 118 of said Village of Deerfield Sewer
User and Industrial Cost Recovery Code and substituting in lieu thereof the
following:
"118- Industrial User: Any non - governmental user of publicly owned
treatment works identified in the Standard Industrial Classi-
fication Manual, 1972, Office of Management and Budget, as
amended and supplemented, under the following divisions:
(a) Division A-- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing
(b) Division B -- Mining
(c) Division D -- Manufacturing
(d) Division E -- Transportation, Communications, Electric,
Gas, and Sanitary Services
(e) Division I -- Services
A user in the divisions listed shall be excluded if it discharges
the equivalent of 25,000 gallons per day or less of sanitary
waste, provided the waste discharge does not contain any
pollutants which 1) interfere with treatment works processes,
2) are incompatible, or 3) contaminate or reduce the utility
of the sludge of the treatment works."
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here -
TWO: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
FOUR: and after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
