ORDINANCE NO. 0- 77-'87 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 22 -24 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of ONE: the Village. of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the' same is hereby further amended by striking the first para- graph of subsection 22 -24(a) in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "22- 24(a). It shall be unlawful to drive any motor vehicle on any street not under the jurisdiction of the Department of Trans- portation, State of Illinois, or Lake or Cook County, in an urban district within the Village at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour, or in an alley at a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour." SECTION That Section 22 -161 entitled "Exhibit A. 25 Mile Per TWO: Hour Speed Limit" of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "22 -161. Exhibit A. Exceptions to General Speed Restrictions. (a) A speed limit of 30 miles per hour is herein determined and declared to be the reasonable and safe absolute maximum speed at which any motor vehicle shall be operated along the follow- ing streets located within the residential urban area of the Village: (1) on Deerfield Road throughout its entirety, from the western to the eastern limits of the Village; (2) on Wilmot Road throughout its entirety, from the northern to the southern limits of the Village." SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here - FOUR: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from FIVE and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
