AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Chapter 19 of the Municipal C6de of the Village'of
ONE: Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is hereby
further amended by adding thereto the following Section
19 -42A:
"Sec. 19-42A. Ramping of New and Reconstructed Sidewalks.
A. In the event that any property owner shall either install or
repair any portion of a sidewalk which directly abuts a
street intersection, such sidewalk shall be either installed
or reconstructed to provide for a ramp to assist handicapped
persons in accordance with specifications approved by the
Village Engineer."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO: ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here -
THREE: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance.shall be in full force and effect from
FOUR: and after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
