RECAPTURE ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, CHESTERFIELD DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, which is the owner or
party interested in the property described as follows:
Laurel Hill Unit No. 12, a resubdivision of Section 32, Town-
ship 43 North, Range 12, East of the 3rd Principal Meridian,
in Lake County, Illinois,
and has caused to be constructed by private contract and has paid the cost
thereof of underground improvements, consisting in whole or in part of
sanitary sewer extensions and storm sewer extensions on and to certain
portions of Birchwood Avenue between Gordon Terrace and Lake Cook Road and
in certain easements provided in said subdivision in the Village of
Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said improvements so constructed are available to and may be
of benefit to adjoining and adjacent properties; and
WHEREAS, the construction of said improvements by private contract pro-
vides a substantial saving in cost to any person or property owner having
present or future use and benefit thereof, as compared with the cost of the
construction of such improvements by special assessment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY.THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That no person, firm or corporation, excepting Chesterfield
ONE:. Development Corporation, shall connect to or obtain service
from the eight -inch (8 ") sanitary sewer or the ten -inch
(10 ") storm sewer constructed and installed by Chesterfield Development
Corporation in Birchwood Avenue between County'Line Road and Gordon Terrace
and in certain easements provided in said subdivision, without first ob-
taining a permit for such connections or service. No such permit shall be
issued unless the applicant shall give evidence to the Village of Deerfield
of payment to Chesterfield Development Corporation, or its successors and
assigns, of such person's, firm's or corporation's proportionate share of
the cost of such improvements as shown on the attached schedule which is
made a part of this ordinance. Such payment to Chesterfield Development
Corporation shall be in addition to the usual charges and fees payable to
the Village for the issuance of such permits.
SECTION That the foregoing provisions of this ordinance shall ter -
TWO: minate ten (10) years after the date of passage.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated August 18, 1975, the Mayor
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, established
the last Wednesday of August in each year to be designated and pro-
claimed "Senior Citizens' Recognition Day "; and
WHEREAS, August 31st is the day set aside in 1977 for special
recognition of our citizens of retirement age; and
WHEREAS, Senior Citizens' Recognition Day will be cele-
brated throughout Lake County on Wednesday, August 31st:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BERNARD FORREST, Mayor of
the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, do hereby proclaim August 31, 1977
to be SENIOR CITIZENS' RECOGNITION DAY, and urge all citizens
to participate and assist in maki2g, this a most memorable occasion for
our Senior Citizens.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Deerfield to hold its annual
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE on Deerfield Road (which is an unnumbered State
Route) and Illinois State Route 43, on Monday, July 4, 1977, at 12 :15 P.M.;
and
WHEREAS, -said parade will require the closing of Illinois State Route,

Deerfield Road (unnumbered) from the east limits of the Village to Chestnut Street,
either partially or completely; and Illinois State Route 43 from the intersection
of Route 43 and Osterman Avenue north to Greenwood Avenue, either partially or
completely; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the Village to assume all respon-
sibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield that said Village assumes full responsibility for the
direction, protection and regulation of traffic during the time the detour is in
effect, and all liabilities for damages of any kind occasioned by the closing of
said State Routes, for which the State would otherwise be liable. .
It is further agreed that efficient, all- weather detours will be maintained
and conspicuously marked for the benefit of traffic deviated from the State routes.
Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois,
this 2nd day of May, 1977.

season as an International Festival of the Performing Arts at Ravinia Park,

Chicago Symphony Orchestra in summer residence:

the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, do hereby proclaim the week of
June 23 through June 30th, 1977 as RAVINIA CELEBRATION WEEK in honor
of the opening of its 42nd season and urge all Deerfield residents to enjoy
this summer's programs at Ravinia Park.
