RESOLUTION R-76-17
WHEREAS, it is desirable to facilitate the authorization
of payment of the obligations of the Village of Deerfield:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, that:
The following officials be and are hereby authorized to
sign voucher checks of the Village of Deerfield, two signatures or
one signature and one facsimile signature being required:
Mayor Bernard Forrest, or Trustee. Cynthia Marty, or
Trustee Jeff Blumenthal, or Village Manager Norris W. Stilphen, or
Assistant Village Manager Marjorie Emery, or Village Treasurer
George J. Valentine.

WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, located in the
County of Ltake and Cook, State of Illinois, desires to
construct, own and operate approximately 1150 feet of
8 -inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer along Waukegan Road
right -of -way, and also 55 feet of 8 -inch ductile iron
sanitary sewer in a steel casing crossing the Waukegan
Road right -of -way, which by law comes under the juris-
diction and control of the Illinois ,Department pf
Transportation; and
WHEREAS, a Permit from

NOW,.THE'REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Trustees of said Village of Deerfield that the President
and Clerk of said Village shall be, and are hereby
directed to request from the Illinois Department of
Transportation a permit authorizing the work herein
described, and that said President and Clerk are hereby
instructed and authorized to sign said permit in behalf
of the Village of Deerfield.

WHEREAS, the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission (ILEC) is providing an
Incoterm Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) and associated printer for use in up- grading
the Deerfield participation in the Law Enforcement Agencies
Data System (LEADS);
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Village
of the County /City of DPPrfiPld Illinois, that DeerfieldCounty /City
does hereby accept this equipment in lieu of the funds therefore and waives its
rights to receive grant funds for similar purposes.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, DEERFIELD FAMILY DAY, INC., is responsible
for providing the residents of the community with the celebration of the
Fourth of July; and
WHEREAS, in our Bicentennial Year, Deerfield Family Day,
Inc., is in its thirteenth year during which time the annual events
connected with the Family Day have been continually expanded and im-
proved; and
WHEREAS, everyone connected with Deerfield Family Day
deserves our most grateful appreciation for the hours of enjoyment
they have given us:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, that we do
hereby express our sincere gratitude to those organizations and
their members for the best DEERFIELD FAMILY DAY in history:
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that our special
thanks be expressed to WALTER M. SHIELDS, Jr., more familiarly
known to us as "MACK ", for his untiring efforts during the past
year on behalf of all of the residents of Deerfield and we respectfully
request that MACK convey our appreciation to all others involved.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in anticipation of the commemoration of the
200th Birthday of the United States of America, the idea of a
Bicentennial play was conceived and.brought to fruition during
the previous year; and
WHEREAS , the script for the Bicentennial play was
entitled 176 SKIDOO, which - upon completion - was placed in
the most capable hands of MRS. SUSAN REDONDO; and
WHEREAS, MRS. SU SAN REDONDO proceeded to
assemble an all star cast of local residents to portray the
characters depicted in '76 Skidoo; and
WHEREAS, after many painful rehearsals, under the
direction of MRS. JUDY CASTALDI, during which rehearsals
the participants were molded into a cohesive unit, more or less;
and
WHEREAS, the resultant production provided much
entertainment during the three performances on July 2nd and
July 3rd:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, that
we do hereby express our most sincere gratitude to MRS. SUSAN
REDONDO and all of those who participated in bringing '76 Skidoo
into being, and we do respectfully request that MRS. REDONDO
convey our appreciation to all of those who assisted in this effort.
