AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH
THE COMPENSATION OF THE VILLAGE CLERK
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That effective upon conclusion of the current term of
ONE: office of the Village Clerk, and during the next suc-
ceeding term of office of the Village Clerk, the annual
salary of the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield shall be the sum
of $7,500.00 as increased or decreased annually during the term of office by
multiplying $7,500.00 by a factor equal to any increase or decrease in the
Consumer Price Index, U.S. City Average, All Items (1967 =100) issued by the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, published by the United States Department of
Labor, using the annual 1976 average as the base period. Any required
adjustments hereunder shall be effective as of May 1st in any year of the term
of the office.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
TWO: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
