R-75-X21s RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Village of Deerfield purchases all of its municipal water supply from the City of Highland Park; and WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park produces this water from Lake Michigan at their water treatment plant; and WHEREAS, there is a requirement that an allocation for this water be obtained from the State of Illinois by and through the Department of Trans- portation, Division of Water Resources; and WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park is appearing at hearings called to establish the Water Allocation for their community and has agreed to appear on behalf of the Village of Deerfield as well: PP g � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, that the City of Highland Park is hereby designated as its repre- sentative and agent who will be' responsible -to file all documents, complete all applications, answer all inquiries; present all testimony and represent all other interests of the Village of Deerfield, for the purposes. of applying for and obtaining a Water Withdrawal Permit for water from Lake Michigan.
