AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1963
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Chapter 16 of the Municipal Code of the
ONE: Village of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be
and the same is hereby further amended by
adding to said Chapter 16 the following Article VI:
"ARTICLE VI - VENDING MACHINES
16.601 LICENSE REQUIRED.) It shall be unlawful to
maintain or operate a coin operated vending machine
within the Village of Deerfield without having obtained
a license therefor as hereinafter provided. Applica-
tions for said vending machine licenses shall be made
in writing to the Village Manager.
16.602 DEFINITION.) The term "vending machine" shall
mean and include any coin operated device dispensing
food or cigarettes for consumption or use by any
person, which food or cigarettes are dispensed at a
retail price per item of $.10 or more.
16.603 FEES.) The annual fee for each such license shall
be $15.00 for each vending machine dispensing food and
$50.00 for each vending machine dispensing cigarettes.
16.604 PENALTY.) Any person, firm or corporation
violating any provisions of this Article shall be fined
not more than $500.00 for each offense; a separate
offense shall be deemed to.have been committed during
each day on which a violation occurs or continues.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
TWO: publish this ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
THREE: conflict herewith are, to the extent of such
conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall -be in full force and
FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
