COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
November 9, 2009
The Village Board met in the Board Room of the Village Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday,
November 9, 2009. In attendance were:

Robert Benton, Trustee Barbara Little, Director of PW & Engineering
Alan Farkas, Trustee Robert Fialkowski, Director of Finance
Thomas Jester, Trustee Jeff Ryckaert, Principle Planner
Mary Oppenheim, Trustee John Sliozis, Chief of Police
William Seiden, Trustee Clint Case, Code Enforcement Supervisor
Barbara Struthers, Trustee
2009 Property Tax Levy
Mr. Fialkowski reviewed his November 5, 2009 report providing a six month financial review
and preliminary tax levy report and it was discussed by the Village Board members. Several
Trustees expressed concern about under investment in the Village’s infrastructure. Several also
conveyed concern for the impact of the 2009 property tax levy as stated in the approved budget
on taxpayers experiencing economic challenges.
Trustee Struthers excused herself from the meeting at 7:10 pm.
The proposed property tax levy will be presented for consideration at the last regular Village
Board meeting in November and the first meeting in December.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. following unanimous approval of the motion to adjourn
made by Trustee Seiden and a second by Trustee Farkas.
