AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF DEERFIELD BY ADDING SECTION 10.202A(d)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Chapter 10 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of
ONE: 1963, as.amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended by adding a new Section 10.202A(d) as follows:
10.202A(d). The Village of Deerfield reserves the right to
refuse to solicit bids, issue bidding proposals and accept
bids from bidders for any of the following reasons
1. Bidder has previously demonstrated lack of competency
and adequate machinery, plant and other equipment.
2. Bidder is performing uncompleted work which, in the
judgement of the Village, might hinder or prevent the
prompt completion of additional work if awarded.
3. Bidder has failed to pay, or satisfactorily settle, all
bills due for labor and material on former contracts in
force at the time of issuance of proposals.
4. Bidder has defaulted under previous contracts.
5. Bidder has unsatisfactory performance record as shown by
past work for the Village, judged from the standpoint of
workmanship and progress.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO: Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
THREE: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
