ORDINANCE NO. 0 -74 -8 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.805 OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 20.805 of Chapter 20 of the ONE: Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking the first paragraph of said Section and substituting in lieu thereof the following: 20.805 Parking Violations.) Any person accused of a violation of an ordinance prohibiting park- ing of a vehicle in the following manner may settle and compromise the claim against him or her for such alleged parking violation by paying to the municipality the sum set forth below: $10.00 Penalty 1. In any intersection; (Section 20.501[1]) 2.. In any crosswalk; (Section 20.501 [2]'.) 3. Upon any bridge or viaduct, or in any subway or tunnel or the approach thereto; (Section 20.501 :[3]') 4. Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within thirty feet of a point of the curb immediately opposite to the end of a safety zone; (Section 20.501 [4]) 5. At any place where the standing of a vehicle will reduce the usable width of the roadway for moving traffic to less than twelve feet; (Section 20.501 [7] ) 6. Within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant; (Section 20.501 [81) 7. At any place where the vehicle would block the use of a driveway; (Section 20.501 [91) 8. Within twenty feet of the driveway entrance to any fire department station and on the side of the street opposite the entrance to any such station within seventy -five feet of such entrance when properly sign posted. (Section 20.501 [11]) .. $5.00 Penalty. 1. Within thirty feet of a traffic signal, beacon or sign on the approaching curb; (Section 20.501 [51) 2. Within twenty feet of any intersections or crosswalk; (Section 20.501-[61) 3. Within fifty feet of the nearest rail of a railroad grade crossing; (Section 20.501 [101) 4. On any sidewalk or parkway; (Section 20.501 [12]) 5. At any place where official signs prohibit parking; (Section 20.501 [131) 6. Parking at curb; (Left wheel"-to curb — more than 12 inches from curb.) (Section 20.502) .7. Vehicle for sale; (Section 20,-503) $. Loading zone; (Sections 20.504, 20.50$, 20.509) 9. No parking — snow removal; (Section 20.513) 10. No parking — street cleaning; (Section 20.514) 11. Parking motor vehicles on private property without consent of owner. (Section 20.515) All other parking violations not listed above and described in Article V of Chapter 20 may be settled and compromised by the payment to the Village of $3.00. The foregoing.-payments in settlement of parking vio- lations must be paid within 4$ hours of the time such alleged offense was committed. Such payment may be made at the Village Hall, and a receipt shall be issued for all money so received, and such money shall be promptly turned over to the treasurer to be used in the manner provided for the disposition of fines for traffic violations. SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to TWO: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in THREE: conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
