AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.203 OF ARTICLE II
OF :CHAPTER -2`3;OF THE MUNICIPAL' 'CODE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
AS ' FOLLOWS :
SECTION That Section 23.°x(13 , of Article II of Chapter
ONE: 23 of the Municipal' Code 'of,sDeerfield of 1963,
as amended, be and the same is� hereby further amended by striking
said Section in its entirety.,`and substituting in lieu thereof the
following:
23.'203' Repairs.) All repairs on service lines
from the service shut -off valve (Buffalo Box)
to the premises to be served and in the plumb-
ing systems of buildings served shall be made
by and at the expense of the owners of the
premises served.
If repairs are not made within ten days after
the written notice by the superintendent of
public works, or someone authorized by him
directing the repairs to be made, is received
by the owner or occupant of the building served
by the pipes, the water supply may be shut off
until the pipes are repaired.
The Village shall maintain the street mains
and lines from the mains to the service shut-
off valve (Buffalo Box).
SECTION. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
'TWO: conflict herewith are, to the extent of such
conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
THREE: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
