AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS TO PURCHASE
A MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AND REVISING THE
ANNUAL VILLAGE BUDGET TO PROVIDE A PROPER
ALLOCATION 'OF FUNDS' FOR SUCH PURPOSE
WHEREAS, it is the determination of this Board that it is
necessary and in the best public interests to acquire for public safety
purposes a mobile intensive- •care unit similar in kind to that owned„ ..
and operated by the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District; and
WHEREAS, the c9st of such unit is estimated not to exceed
$15,000.00; and
WHEREAS, this Village has received in Federal revenue sharing
funds the sum of $15,000.00 which has not been allocated for expenditure
for any other municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, the proposed purchase of a mobile intensive care unit is
a proper and permitted use for such revenue sharing funds; and
WHEREAS, in order to expend such .funds.it will be necessary to
amend the Annual Village Budget heretofore adopted by Ordinance No.0- 73 -45;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Annual Budget for the Village of Deerfield for
ONE: the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1973, and ending
April 30, 1974, is hereby revised by allocating the sum of $15,000.00
from the amount of.projected receipts for 1973 -1974 set forth in page 56
of said Budget for the Revenue Sharing Fund, Account No. 41 -232, to
use on a project designated "Purchase of Intensive Care Unit" and to
read as follows:
Project Title: Purchase of Intensive Care Unit
Funding Source: Revenue Sharing
Overall Cost: $15,000.00
Description: This project covers the purchase
of a mobile intensive care unit also known as a
trauma unit for use in emergency first aid
situations such as automobile accidents, and fires,
where personal injury is incurred. Such unit shall
be designed and equipped in accordance withc.p:ecfT
cations prepared by the Deerfield - Bannockburn Fire
Protection District.

SECTION: That the Village Manager is herein authorized and
TWO: directed to advertise for bids for the purchase of
such mobile intensive care unit not exceeding'$15,000.00 in cost and
in accordance with the specifications therefor of the Deerfield -
Bannockburn Fire Protection District.
SECTION: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
THREE: from and after its passage and approval as provided by
law.
