AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, certain territory described below is contiguous
to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, such territory is dedicated or used for street
or highway purposes under the jurisdiction of the'Department of
Transportation of the State of Illinois, or a county or township
highway department; and
WHEREAS, no part of such territory is within any other
municipality; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of
Deerfield have determined that it is in the best interest of the
Village that such territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the following described territory be, and
ONE: the same is hereby annexed to the Village of
Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois:
That.portion of the right -of -way of Lake -Cook
Road, also known as County Line Road, lying
South of the line dividing Lake and Cook Counties
from a point .544 feet East of the.Center Line
of Waukegan Road.(State Route 43) Easterly for
a distance of approximately 2,640 feet to the
West line of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest
1/4 of Section 3, Township 42 North, Range
12 East of the Third Principal Meridian
and
That .portion of the right -of -way of Lake -Cook
Road, also known as County Line'Road, lying
South*of the line dividing Lake and Cook Counties
from the West line of the right -of -way of
Florence Avenue Easterly approximately 470 feet
to the existing corporate limits of the Village
of Deerfield
and
•
That portion of the right -of -way of Lake -Cook
Road, also known as County Line Road, lying
South of the line dividing Lake and Cook Counties
from the East line, as extended, of the right -
of -way of Pine Street Westerly to the West line,
as extended, of the right -of -way of Wilmot Road
All in Cook County., Illinois.
as shown on the map attached to and made a part of this Ordinance.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is authorized and
TWO: directed to cause the filing of a copy of
this Ordinance, with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed,
certified as correct by the Village Clerk with'the Recorder of
Deeds of Cook County,,Illinois.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and

and recording as provided by law.
