R-72-X2RESOLUTION NO. R -72-
WHEREAS, the presence of vending machines for food and
beverage in the buildings owned by the Village of Deerfield is a
convenience to.citizens and employees alike; and
WHEREAS, the regulation of installation of such vending
machines as well assurance that they comply with all health standards
and regulations of the Village of Deerfield is essential for the wel-
fare of all persons, and in the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the regulation of all vending machines
ONE: installed in municipal buildings of the Village
of Deerfield shall be the responsibility of.the
Village Manager.
SECTION That an annual fee of $5.00 per year shall be
TWO: assessed against the owner and operator.for each
such machine, which funds shall be paid over to
the Treasurer of the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION That the failure of any vending machine operator
THREE: or owner to abide by all applicable health
regulations and ordinances of the Village or to
maintain the machine in such condition that will assure its proper.
functioning shall authorize the cancellation of the license for
such machine by the Village Manager. Vending machines owned by
the Village shall not be subject to these requirements.
