ORDINANCE NO. 0 -72 -26 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19.218 OF CHAPTER 19 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 19.218 of Chapter 19 of the Municipal ONE: Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "19.218 Redemption from pound.) The owner of any licensed dog so impounded, or the person claiming to be the owner of any unlicensed dog, may redeem such dog in accordance with the provisions of this article upon payment of the license fee, if unpaid, and an impounding charge of /,0& dollars plus 3,®0) dollars per day for the cost of keeping such dog for each day or fraction thereof that such dog is impounded. All.fees and charges shall be paid to the village collector, and upon presentation of a proper receipt from said village collector, the person in.charge.of the village pound shall release such dog in accordance with the provisions of this article. Any dog which has been apprehended by the animal warden, any police officer or any person or corporation charged with the enforcement of this article shall be deemed to have been impounded if, in the opinion of such warden, police officer or person or corporation charged with the enforcement of this article, confinement in a temporary place of safe keeping is necessary. SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict TWO: herewith, shall to the extent of such conflict, be hereby repealed. SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to THREE: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and FOUR: effect from.and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
