R -72 -1� A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STATE COMMUTER PARKING GRANT APPLICATION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIAS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That the President and Clerk of the Village of ONE: Deerfield are authorized and directed to execute and file on behalf of the Village of Deerfield an application with the Office of Mass Transportation of the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois for a capital improvement grant to acquire funds to provide commuter parking facilities. • s SECTION That'the President and Clerk of the Village of TWO: Deerfield are authorized to furnish such additional information as may reasonably be required by the Office of Mass Transportation in connection with the Village of Deerfield for the grant. SECTION That this Resolution shall be in full force and THREE: effect from and after its passage. That said Village of Deerfield was organized and incorporated as a Village under the laws of the State of Illinois on or about the year 1903, and since said date of incorporation has continuously operated under the laws of the State of Illinois as a Village governed by a President and Board of Trustees, and since said date of organization and to the present, said Village is operating under the provision of the said general law pertaining to Villages, referred to as the "Illinois Municipal Code" effective July 1, 1961, as amended, and designated as Chapter 24 in the Illinois Revised Statutes (1971). 2. In accordance with the provisions of the said "Illinois Municipal Code" the Village of Deerfield is legally empowered to apply for State grants through the U. S. Department of Transportation for purposes of providing public commuter parking facilities.
