AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF
LAND FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND
MAINTENANCE OF A PUBLIC
PARKING LOT AND STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That it is necessary and in the best interest of
ONE: the Village that the Village acquire title to and
possession of the following described real property,
which said real property is necessary, required and needed for
the establishment and maintenance of a public parking lot and
street, and for other municipal and public purposes; to -wit:
"That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 12 East
of the Third,Principal Meridian described as follows,
to -wit: commencing 285 feet West of the Southeast corner
of Section 29, thence North for a distance of 183 feet to
the true point of beginning of this description, thence
North for a distance of 50 feet, thence West for a distance
of 50 feet, thence South for a distance of 50 feet to the
Southeast corner of the premises described in Warranty Deed
dated February 3, 1915 and recorded February 3, 1915 as
Document No. 157425, thence East for a distance of 50 feet
more or less to the true place of beginning in Lake County,
Illinois."
SECTION That Norris W. Stilphen, Village Manager, and
TWO: Richard V. Houpt, Village Attorney, be and they
are hereby authorized, empowered, and directed
for and on behalf of the Village to negotiate with the owner or
owners of the real estate hereinabove described for the purchase
thereof by the Village. I.

SECTION That in the event that the said Village Manager
THREE: and Village Attorney are unable to agree with
the owner or owners of said real estate upon
the compensation to be paid therefore, then title to and possession
of said real estate shall be acquired by the Village, and Richard
V. Houpt, as attorney for the Village, is hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to institute proceedings in any court of
competent jurisdiction to acquire title to and possession of
said real estate for the Village in accordance with the eminent
domain laws of the State of Illinois.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage and approval as provided
by law.
