AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V OF
CHAPTER 20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Article V of Chapter 20 of the Municipal Code
ONE: of Deerfield of 1963,.as amended, be and the same
is hereby further amended by adding a new Section 20.519 as follows:
"20.519 Exceptions.)
"On the occasion of special public events creating
unusual traffic conditions, the Chief of Police,
after investigation and upon his determination
that the public safety and convenience would be
served, may temporarily authorize the parking
of vehicles in places and at times otherwise
prohibited under the provisions of this Article;
the Chief of Police shall, by posting signs or
otherwise appropriately give notice of the times
and locations at which the parking of vehicles
is so temporarily permitted."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
TWO: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
THREE: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
