ORDINANCE NO. 0- 71 -T6'
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE.OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 22.102 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal
ONE: Code of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding the following at the end
of said Section:
"One -story structures (as defined in the Village Zoning
Ordinance) of 2,500 square feet or less, which do not
exceed 16 feet in height and which have no basement
or crawl space beneath the main floor, may be con-
structed within the Fire Limits utilizing ordinary
construction as provided in Section of the National
Building Code provided-the following additional require-

"l. All structural lumber must be fire retardant
treated.

"2. All ceiling must have a fire resistance
rating of at least one hour."
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
TWO: conflict herewith are, to the extent of such
conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
THREE: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
