AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
.1 WHEREAS, certain territory described below is contiguous
to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, such territory is dedicated or used for street
or highway purposes under the jurisdiction of the Department of
Public Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois, or a county
or township highway department; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of
Deerfield have determined that it is in the best interest of the
Village that such territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the following described territory be, and
ONE: the same is, hereby, annexed to the Village of
Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois:
That part of Waukegan Road described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
Easterly line of Waukegan Road and the East line
of the West 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section
4, Township 42 North, Range 12 East of the Third
Principal Meridian; thence South along said East
line of the West 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of said
Section 4 to a point on a line 1576.0 feet North
of and parallel with the East and West 1/4 section
line of said Section 4; thence West on said parallel
line to its intersection with the Westerly line of
Waukegan Road; thence Southeasterly along the
Westerly line of Waukegan Road 1026.58 feet;
thence Northeasterly to the intersection of the
Easterly line of Waukegan Road with the Northerly
line of Walnut Road; thence Northwesterly along
the Easterly line of Waukegan Road to the point
of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois
as shown on an accurate map thereof attached to and made a part of
this Ordinance.

SECTION That the Village Clerk is authorized and
TWO: directed to cause the filing of a copy of
this Ordinance with an accurate map of the territory hereby
annexed, certified as correct by the Village Clerk, with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force
THREE: and effect from and after its passage and
approval, as provided by law.
