RESOLUTION NO. R -72- 6
WHEREAS, the policy hereinafter set forth has been the
policy of the Village of Deerfield for many years prior hereto,
the President and Board of Trustees deem it desirable and in the
best interest of the Village that said policy be formalized by
written declaration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
AS FOLLOWS:
1) That it is hereby declared to be the policy of the
Village of Deerfield that all persons should have
the right to a full and equal opportunity for
appointment to any Village office or position and
for employment by the Village without regard to
their race, color, religion, sex, national origin
or ancestry.
2) That it is the further policy of the Village that
all promotions, suspensions and removals of Village
officers and employees should be based on merit and
fitness and without regard to such officers' or
employees' race, color, religion, sex, national
origin or ancestry.
3) That all Village officers and employees, boards,
commissions and councils are hereby directed to
pursue. the aforestated policy in their conduct of
the business and affairs of the Village.

RESOLUTION NO. R- 72 -6,-'
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, that:
The President be and he is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf
of the Village of Deerfield, the Agreement between the State of Illinois,
acting by and through its Department of Transportation, and the Village of
Deerfield relative to the improvement of Illinois Route 43 South from Lake -
Cook Road to I -94 (Edens Expressway).
