AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND
O TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD,ILLINOIS
�Q (First Addition to Deerbrook)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a certain Annexation Agreement entered
into by and between the Village of Deerfield and Louis J. Werhane,
Olive Werhane, Frieda Werhane, Northwestern National Bank of Chicago
and Joseph E. Valenti, a written Petition for Annexation under oath,
signed by Louis J. Werhane, Olive Werhane and Frieda Werhane, as
owners of record of certain territory hereinafter described, has been
filed with the Village Clerk requesting that said territory be annexed
to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within said
territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits
of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Deerfield;
e, and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits
of any public library district; and
WHEREAS, said territory is within the corporate limits of
the Northbrook Rural Fire Protection District and more than ten days
prior to any action being taken with respect to the Petition to Annex
said territory, the Trustees of said District were notified in writing
of the filing of said•Petition to Annex by certified mail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS • FOLLOWS :
SECTION That all the territory known and described as
ONE: follows:
That part 6f the North one -half (1/2) of Section
4, Town 42 North, Range 12, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as: Commencing /
at the Southwest corner of Downey's Cook County
Country Home Addition to Deerfield, being a
subdivision of part of the North one -half (1/2)
of said section 4, and running thence South 25
degrees. 13 minutes, 30 seconds East along the
Easterly right -of -way line of Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad 365.03 feet to its
point of intersection with the Northerly right -
of -way line of the Northern Illinois Toll High-
way; thence South 59 degrees 08 minutes, 30
seconds East along said Toll Highway Northerly

right -of -way line 1259.80 feet; thence North
85 degrees 48 minutes 35 seconds East 855.62
feet to a point of intersection with the Westerly
line of Waukegan Road (said Westerly line being
33 feet Westerly of, measured perpendicularly
and parallel with the center line of said road, as
occupied); thence North 27 degrees 07 minutes
05 seconds West along said Westerly line 1028.59
feet to its point of intersection with the South line of
said Downeys Subdivision extended easterly; thence
South 89 degrees 56 minutes 30 seconds West along
said Eatterly extension and said South line-of said
subdivision, 1621.44 feet to the place of beginning,.
in Cook County, Illinois.
and the full rights -of -way of all adjoining streets and highways
as shown on an accurate map of such territory which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof be and the same is hereby annexed to
the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois.
SECTION That the Village Clerk of the Village of
TWO: Deerfield, is hereby directed to file in the
Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois, being the County in which said annexed territory is situ-
ated, a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the
territory hereby annexed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk of the Village of r\j
THREE: Deerfield is further directed to file an -~
Affidavit of service of notice on the Trustees
of the Northbrook Rural Fire Protection District, as provided by law. fCQ
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and ILJ1
FOUR effect from and after its passage and approval i;�
and when a copy thereof with an accurate map
is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds, Cook County,
Illinois and thereupon said territory shall be subject to the
jurisdiction and Ordinances of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois.
