AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 28 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE'OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Chapter 28 of the Municipal Code of
ONE: the Village of Deerfield of 1963, as
amended b�

new s'e beoamended by adding / ollows:
28.031 Interference with Police Officers.) Any
person who shall resist any officer of the police
department in the discharge of his duties, or
shall in any way interfere with or hinder or pre-
vent him from discharging his duty as such officer,
or shall offer or endeavor to do so, and whoever
shall in any manner assist any person in the cus-
tody of any member of the police force to escape
or attempt to escape from such custody, or attempt
to rescue any person in custody, shall be fined
not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars for each offense.
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of
TWO: ordinances in conflict herewith, are,
to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
