O-69-41ri ORDINANCE NO. 0 -69 -q4, AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 2.2, 1969, IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, tbb Board of Library Directors of the Village of Deerfield have heretofore transmitted to this Board of Trustees the record of proceedings of said Board of Library Directors dated September 24, 1969, consisting of the plan and estimate of,.cost for the acquisition of a building site and the construction of a library building together with the resolution of said Board of Library Directors adopting said plan and estimate of cost and requesting the approval thereof of this Board of Trustees and the issuance of bonds of the Village payable over a term not exceeding 20 years to pay the cost of such acquisition and construction; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield by Ordinance No. 0 -69- 40, duly adopted on October 20, 1969) did approve said plan and estimate of cost submitted by the Board of Library Directors and further did approve of the issuance of bonds of the Village.to nay the cost thereof provided that the issuance of such bonds be authorized by the legal voters of the Village in accordance with the statute in such case made and provided. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That for the purpose of submitting to the ONE: legal voters of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois the ques- tion of issuing bonds of the Village in the amount of $1,035,000 for a term not to exceed 20 years and bearing interest at a rate not to exceed 6% per annum to pay the cost of acquisition of a building site and the con- struction of a library building thereon, there is hereby called A Special Election to be held in the Village of Deerfield on the 22nd day of November, 1969, between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM on said day at the several Polling Places hereafter described in Section Two hereof, which Polling Places and Precincts are those customarily estab- lished for all municipal elections in said Village. i SECTION That notice of said Election shall be TWO: published in the DEERFIELD REVIEW, a newspaper published in and having a general circulation in said Village; said publication to be not more than thirty (30) nor less than fifteen days prior to the date of said Election, and that said notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF ELECTION Public notice is hereby given that on Saturday, the 22nd day of November, 1969, a Special Elec- tion will be held in the Village of Deerfield Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, at which Election there will be submitted to the voters of said Village the following proposition: "Shall bonds in the amount of $1,035,000 payable over a term not to exceed 20 years and bearing interest at a rate not to exceed 6 %, be issued by the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, for the purpose of paying the cost of acquiring a building site and erecting a library building thereon ?" The Polling Places and Precincts for such Election shalil- be as follows: PRECINCT NO.1 shall consist of all that part of the Village lying South of the center line of Deerfield Road and West of the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River (West drainage ditch). Polling Place: Wilmot School Wilmot and Deerfield Roads Deerfield, Illinois PRECINCT NO.2 shall consist of all that part of the Village lying South of the center line of Deerfield Road and East of the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River (West drainage ditch). Polling Place: Alan B. Shepard Junior High School Franken and Grove Streets Deerfield, Illinois -2- PRECINCT N0.3 shall consist of all that part of the Village lying North of the center line of Deerfield Road and East of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad right -of -way. Polling Place: Deerfield Village Hall 850 Waukegan Road Deerfield, Illinois PRECINCT N0.4 shall consist of all that part of the Village lying North of the center line of Deerfield Road and West of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad right -of -way. Polling Place: Maplewood School Clay and Alden Courts Deerfield, Illinois The Polls for said Election will be opened at 6 AM and will be closed at 6 PM, C.S.T. on the date of said Election. All persons qualified to vote at regular Village elections are qualified to vote on said question. Voters must vote at the Polling Place designated for the Election Precinct in which they reside. By the order of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois. Shall bonds in the.:yamount of $1,035,000 payable over a term not to exceed 20 YES years and bearing interest at a rate not to exceed 6% be issued by the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois for the purpose of paying the NO cost of acquiring a library site and erecting a library building thereon?
