AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7.001
OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF DEERFIELD OF 1963, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 7.001 of Chapter 7 of the
ONE: Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1963, as
amended, be and the same is hereby
further amended by striking said section in its entirety
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
7.001 Creation of Department.) There is hereby
created a Police Department, an executive depart-
ment of the Village. The Police Department shall
consist of the Chief of Police who shall be ex
officio Village Marshal, one Captain, three
Lieutenants, four Sergeants, and such other members
as may be premided for from time to tmme by the
President and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
TWO: in conflict herewith, are, to the extent
of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed
THREE: to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet
form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force
FOUR: and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication, as provided by law.
