RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE
COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE OF
THE IMPROVEMENT COVERED BY
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT NO. 108
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS OF THE VILLAGE
OF DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS:
1. This Board finds as follows:
A. The construction of the local improvement consisting
of the pavement with integral curbing, sidewalks and including a
drainage system along portions of Fairview Avenue, Birchwood Avenue,
Kenmore Avenue, Gordon Terrance, Laurel Avenue and Rosewood Avenue,
for which Special Assessment No. 108 was levied, has been completed in
substantial compliance with the ordinance therefor.
B. The amount assessed for and the cost of the said
improvement are as follows:
Total Assessment: $388,939.47
Public Benefit $ 38,390.55
Private Property $350,548.92
Total Cost of Improvement: $388,939.47
2. The above - described local improvement is accepted by
this Board as completed in substantial compliance with the ordinance
therefor.
3. The amount assessed in Special Assessment No. 108 in
the sum of $388,939.47 is equal to the net cost of the improvement
of $388,939.47 which includes the following:
Construction cost (including extra work in
the sum of $8,156.22)

4. The Village Treasurer is herein authorized and directed
to disburse from general corporate funds heretofore collected in said
assessment the amount of $2,222.17 to meet and satisfy amounts due
for extra work in Special Assessment No. 108.
5. The Village Attorney is authorized to prepare and to
file in the Circuit Court of the Ninteenth Judicial Circuit of Lake
County, Illinois, the Certificate of this Board as to the completion
of the work in the above numbered Special Assessment, and he shall
procure an adjudication with respect to such Certificate, as provided
by law.

The undersigned hereby certifies that she is the duly elected
and acting Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook
Counties, Illinois, and as such is the Secretary of the Board of Local
Improvements of the said Village, and that the foregoing is a true and
accurate copy of a resolution entitled "RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE
COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE IMPROVEMENT COVERED BY SPECIAL ASSESS-
MENT NO 108 ", passed by the Board of Local Improvements of the said
Village of Deerfield at a meeting thereof held on the 16th day of
August, 1971, all as appears in the records and files of my office.

RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL COSTS OF
CONSTRUCTION IN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT NO. 108
AND ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS FOR PAYMENT THEREOF
This Board of Local Improvements finds as follows:
A. That it has received a Certificate of Substantial
Completion of the improvement in Special Assessment No. 108
executed by the Village Engineer, Charles W. Greengard Associates,
Inc. and accepted in writing by the Contractor, Zera Construction
Company and A. Ritacca & Sons with supporting lien waivers, which
Certificate states that said local improvement has been substan-
tially completed to date in the amount of $335,109.47, not
including the additional sum of $1,000.00 being retained pending
completion of reseeding, traffic sign and other minor work.
B. That it has received confirmation of the disposition
of all claims against the Contractor from the firms of.Novak,
Dempsey & Associates, Inc., and Charles W. Greengard Associates,
Inc., and therefore final payment of the balance due to the Con-
tractors, not including the amount to be retained, can be made.
C. That the cost of this improvement and the amounts
paid to date are as follows:
1. Initial Contract price $328,019.45
Additional Authorized work 8,156.22
Total Authorized Construction Cost $336,175.67
2. Estimated Actual Net Construction Cost $336,109.47
Actual Completed Construction Cost 335,109.47
Amount Retained 1,000.00
3. Amount due Contractor $335,109.47
Vouchers issued to Contractor to date 289,814.33
Balance due Contractor 45,295.14
D. That the amount assessed for said improvement totals
$388,939.47 and that payment of the amount due to the Contractor
shall be as follows:

$3,790.57 to corporate fund to
cover additional work expenses) 345,866.50
Balance Available for Vouchers 43,072.97

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That the total cost of construction in the
amount of $335,109.47 and the Engineers Certificate of Substantial
Completion thereof are herein approved and accepted.
SECTION TWO: That there is due and owing the contractor,
Zera Construction Co. and A. Ritacca & Sons, Inc., for all work done
on said Special Assessment No. 108 improvement a balance in the
amount of $45,295.14 of which amount $43,072.97 shall be paid by
vouchers issued against said Special Assessment and the sum of
$2,222.17 shall be paid from general corporate funds heretofore
collected in said assessment.
SECTION THREE:
That the further sum of $1,000.00 be re-
tained pending completion of landscaping, outstanding claim of property
owner, and other minor construction work and acceptance by the Village
Engineer.
