ORDINANCE NO. 0 -69- 30
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17 -901
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESxDENT AND BOARD OF,
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 17.901 of Chapter 17 of
ONE the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be and
the same is further amended by striking said Section in
its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof, the
following:
17.901 Tax Rate. A tax is hereby imposed upon
all persons engaged in this Village in the
business of making sales of service at the rate
of one percent of the cost price
of all tangible personal property transferred of
said servicemen either in the form of tangible
personal property or in the form of real estate as
an incident to a sale of service, in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 24, paragraph 8 -11 -5,
Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended.

This is to acknowledge receipt of a copy of
your municipality's Ordinance imposing a tax at the rate
of 1% under the Municipal Service Occupation Tax
Act (Section 8 -11 -5 of the "Illinois Municipal Code ").
The Department will consider this increase in the tax
rate to be effective October 1, 1969.
