AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS XIII -B -1
AND XIII -D -6 OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE.AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section XIII -B -1 of the Zoning Ordinance
ONE: For The Village of Deerfield, Illinois, passed
May 4, 1953, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by deleting the following as permitted
uses:
Cleaning and Dyeing, Pick -up Store only
Cleaning and Dyeing, Self- service laundromat type
Laundry, Pick -up Store only
Laundry, Self- service laundromat type
Laundry, hand
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
Dry cleaning and laundry establishments, including
self- service coin operated equipment; provided, that
the floor area devoted to any one such establishment
(including floor area devoted to accessory uses as
well as the principal use) shall not exceed 2,000
square feet.
SECTION That Section XIII -D -6 of the Zoning Ordinance
TWO: For The Village of Deerfield, Illinois, passed
May 4, 1953, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by striking said section in its entirety
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
6. Floor Area - Except,where a lesser floor area is
herein provided, no one use shall occupy more

than twenty thousand (20,000) square feet of
floor area provided that the foregoing limita-
tion shall not be applicable to a unified
shopping center having an area of four (4)
acres or more; provided further that notwith-
standing the foregoing, where a maximum floor
area of less than twenty thousand (20,000)
square feet is herein established for a
particular use, such limitation shall apply
in any event.
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
THREE: conflict herewith, are, to the extent of such
conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
FOUR: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FIVE: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
