R-71-X2R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Fourth of July is one of our most important holidays,
honoring the birth of our Nation as a free and independent power; and
WHEREAS, the Deerfield Family Day Committee, composed of members of
various organizations and service groups of the Village, has worked for
months to arrange a community -wide celebration of this holiday on July 5,
1971; and
WHEREAS, the work of the Deerfield Family Day Committee provided great
enjoyment for every resident of the Village of Deerfield:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, express, on
behalf of every resident of the Village, our sincere appreciation to each
and every organization and individual who worked on and participated in-the
outstanding celebration of Deerfield Family Day; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be sent to the
Jaycees, the Lions, the Rotary Club, the Kiwanis Club, the .Chamber of
Commerce, the Newcomers' Club, the American Legion, the Deerfield Women's
Club, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Explorer Scouts, the Deerfield Homemakers,
the Historical Society, the Deerfield Garden Club, the Deerfield- Bannockburn
Fire Department, the Police Department, and the local Press.
