ORDINANCE NO. 0 -68 -30
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM
THE PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1236 WOODRUFF AVENUE, DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, ROBERT H. PICKERING has petitioned for a varia-
tion from the strict provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield, passed May 4, 1953, as amended; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published as required
by statute, a public hearing on said petition was held and
conducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the
President and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact
and recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendation of
ONE: the Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby concurred
in and adopted as the findings of fact of the
President and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That there are practical difficulties and parti=
TWO: cular hardship in the way of carrying out the
strict letter of the provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as applied to Petitioner's
property which is legally described as follows:
The North 5 feet of Lot 3, all of Lot 4, and that
part of Lot 5 in Greenwood Park Unit No. 2, being
a subdivision of part of the South half of the South-
west quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 29,
Township 43 North, Range 12, E Ast of the Third Principal
Meridian, lying Southerly of a line extended from a
point on the South line of said lot, 16.05 feet West
of the Southeast corner thereof, to a point on the
West line of said lot, 16.83 feet North of the South-
west corner thereof, in Lake County, Illinois.
SECTION That a variation from the strict provisions of
THREE: - Section VII.0 -3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield, passed May 4, 1953, as amended,
with respect to the property hereinabove described, is hereby
granted so as to permit a rear yard of 18 feet in lieu of the
required 25 feet.
SECTION That the variation hereby granted is subject to
FOUR: compliance by Petitioner with all other applicable
ordinances of the Village.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FIVE: effect from and after its passage and approval,
as provided by law.
