AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 20 - ARTICLE III OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1963
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION Article III of Chapter 20 of the Municipal Code
ONE: of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding a new Section 20.342,
as follows:
Sec. 20.342. OPENING VEHICLE DOORS. No person shall
open the door of a vehicle on the side available to
moving traffic unless and until it is reasonably safe
to do so, and can be done without interferiing with
the movement of other traffic, nor shall any person
leave a door open on the side of a vehicle available
to moving traffic for a period of time longer than neces-
sary to load or unload passengers.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed'to
TWO: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
THREE: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
