ORDINANCE NO. 0 -67 -43
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17 -901
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF*DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 17.901 of Chapter 17 of the
ONE: Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield
of 1963, as amended, be and the same is
further amended by striking said Section in its entirety and
substituting in lieu thereof, the following:
17.901. Tax rate. A tax is hereby imposed upon all
persons engaged in this city in the business of
making sales of service at the rate of three - fourths
of one percent of the cost price of all tangible
personal property transfered by said servicemen
either in the form of tangible personal property or
in the form of real estate as an incident to a sale
of service, in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 24, paragraph 8 -11 -5, Illinois Revised
Statutes, as amended.
SECTION The Village Clerk is hereby directed to
TWO: transmit to the State Department of Revenue
a certified copy of this ordinance not later
than five (5) days after the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION This ordinance shall be published within ten
THREE: (10) days of its enactment as provided in
Section 1 -2 -4 of the Illinois Municipal Code
and shall be effective from and after the first day of the calen-
dar month next following its publication.
