AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF POR-
TIONS OF GORDON TERRACE, LAUREL AVENUE, ROSEWOOD
AVENUE, WILMOT ROAD, KENMORE AVENUE, WILLOW AVENUE,
BIRCHWOOD AVENUE, FAIRVIEW AVENUE, AND COUNTY LINE
ROAD BY DRAINING, INCLUDING SANITARY SEWERS AND
WATER MAINS AND SANITARY SERVICES AND WATER SERVICES
TO LOTS WITH EXISTING RESIDENCES/
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That a local improvement shall be made in the

description of which improvement is as follows:
In Gordon Terrace from the existing pavement at the
East right -of -way line of Wilmot Road to the existing
pavement at the West right -of -way line,of Willow Avenue
by draining, sanitary sewers, water mains, sanitary
services and water services to lots with existing
residences; in Laurel Avenue from the existing pave-
ment at the East right -of -way line of Wilmot Road to
the existing pavement at the West right -of -way line
of Willow Avenue by draining, sanitary and storm
sewers and sanitary services to lots with existing
residences; in Rosewood Avenue from the existing pavement
at the East right -of -way line of Wilmot Road to the
existing pavement located 180 feet West of the center
line of Willow Avenue by draining, water mains and water
services to lots with existing residences; in Wilmot Road
from the existing water main located in County Line Road
to the existing water main located 500 feet South of the
center line of Iiackberry Road by the construction of a water
main, sanitary sewer, sanitary services and water services
to lots with existing residences; in Kenmore Avenue from
the existing pavement located 9 feet North of the center
line of County Line Road to the South right -of -way line
of Rosewood Avenue by draining, including sanitary sewers,

from the existing pavement at the. East right -of -way line of Wilmot Road to the
existing paves ent at the West right -of -way line of Willow Avenue by draining,
sanitary sewers, water mains, sanitary services and water services to lots with
existing residences; in Laurel Avenue from the existing pavement at the East
right -of -way line of Wiln;ot Road to the existing pavement at the West right -of -way

in accordance with the plans and specifications for Hoveland Subdivision Special
Assessment No. 107 and including engineering services and all labor, .materials
and other expenses necessary to construct the herein proposed improvements all
in the Village of Deerfield, County of Lake, and State of Illinois.

The estimated cost of the herein proposed improvement, including labor
and materials and all lawful expenses attending the same, is the sum of Three
Hundred Fifty Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninty Nine Dollars and Eighty Eight C;,.nts
($356, 899.88) itemized as follows: .
The following nine items shall be constructed of reinforced concrete sewer
pipe designated on the plans as RCP (A.S. T.M. C -76) Class as noted. The sizes
of pipe as given herein refer to the internal diameter. The unit price per lineal
foot for each size of storm sewer shall include all excavating, laying, backfilling
and disposal of surplus excavated material complete in place as specified.

SECTION The recommendation of the Board of Local
TWO: Improvements providing for the improvement
and the estimated cost thereof, made by the
President of the Board of Local Improvements both hereto attached
and made a part thereof, be and the same are hereby approved.
SECTION That said improvement shall be made and the
THREE: whole cost thereof, together with an amount not
exceeding six per cent (6 %) of the estimated
cost, to -wit: TWENTY THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED ONE and 88 /100ths
($20,201.88) DOLLARS, which is hereby provided for to apply
towards the cost and expense of making, levying and collecting
the special assessment and all other expenses allowed by law,
being the amount included in the estimate therefor shall be paid
by special assessment levied in accordance with Article 9, Division
2, Chapter 24, of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended, being
an Act entitled "Illinois Municipal Code ", approved May 29, 1961,
together with all Amendatory and Supplemental Acts (excepting
Article 9, Division 3).
SECTION Thatithe aggregate amount herein ordered to be
FOUR: assessed to pay the cost of said improvement
against the property and also the assessment on
each lot and parcel of land herein assessed shall be divided into
ten (10) installments in the manner provided by the statute in
such case made and provided and each of said installments shall bear
interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum, according to
law until paid.
SECTION For the purpose of anticipating the collection of
FIVE: the second and succeeding installments of said
assessment for the cost of said improvement, the
Village shall issue bonds payable out of said installments, bearing
interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum, payable annually,
signed by the President and attested by the Clerk of said Village
under the corporate seal. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with, and shall in all respects conform to the provisions of Article
9, Division 2, Chapter 24, of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as
amended, being an Act entitled "Illinois Municipal Code ", approved
May 29, 1961, together with all Amendatory and Supplemental Acts
(excepting Article 9, Division 3).
SECTION That the President be and he is hereby directed
SIX: to file a Petition in the Circuit Court of Lake
County in the name of the Village praying that
steps may be taken to levy a special assessment for said improve-
ment, in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and in
the manner prescribed by law.
SECTION All ordinances, or parts of ordinances in
SEVEN: conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and

approval thereof according to law.
