RESOLUTION NO. R-20-1
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL FEE RESOLUTION
REGARDING PLAN REVIEW FEES, FIRE HYDRANT FEES
AND COSTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF LINED -MAIN -TAP SADDLE SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield is a home rule unit of local government pursuant
to the provisions of Article VII, Section 6 of the Illinois Constitution; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6-79 of "The Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield, Illinois, 1975," as amended ("Village Code'), the Village has adopted a
comprehensive building fee schedule (`Building Fees'), which fees are set forth in the
Village's Annual Fee Resolution; and
WHEREAS, pursuant Section 23-5(a) of the Village Code, the Village charges fees
for connecting to the Village water mains and receiving water service ("Water Fees'), which
fees are set forth in the Annual Fee Resolution; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16-10 of the Village Code, the owner of any house,
building, or property used for human occupancy, employment, recreation, or other purposes
situated within the village and abutting on any street, alley, or right of way in which there
is now located a sanitary sewer may connect to the sanitary sewer provided that they do so
in a manner compliant with applicable State and Village laws, ordinances, and regulations;
and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to amend its Building Fees to charge for engineering
plan review services for non-residential construction in the Village (`Plan Review Fees');
and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to amend its Water Fees to establish a fee for renting
from the Village a fire hydrant meter to use when connecting to a Village fire hydrant (`Fire
Hydrant Meter Fee'); and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to set a price for selling a lined -main -tap saddle
system to allow property owners to connect to the Village's sanitary sewer system ("Saddle
System Fee'); and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it is appropriate to amend
Exhibit A of Resolution No. 14 -2-5 ("Annual Fee Resolution') to amend the Plan Review
Fees, and establish the Fire Hydrant Meter Fee and Saddle System Fee; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that adoption of this Resolution will
serve and be in the best interest of the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:

SECTION ONE: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are incorporated into, and
made a part of, this Resolution as findings of the Village Board.
SECTION TWO: AMENDMENT. Exhibit A of the Annual Fee Resolution is
hereby amended further as follows:
