AN'ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7.001
OF.CHAPTER 7 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE.
*OF DEERFIELD OF 1963,.AS.AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD,'LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES., ILLINOIS-
,,AS FOLLOWS:
.SECTION That Section 7.001 of Chapter 7 of the Municipal
ONE: Code of Deerfield of 1963, as amended; be and the
same is hereby.further amended by striking said
section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the fol-
lowing:
7.001 Creation of department.) There is hereby created
a police department, an executive department,of the village.
The police department shall consist of.the chief of police
who shall be ex- officio village marshal, one captain, four
lieutenants, sergeants and such other members as may
be provided..for from time to time by"the_ president and board
of trustees.
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ord,inances-in
TWO: conflict herewith, are., to the extent of such con -
flict, hereby-repealed.
SECTION That the Villag e:Clerk is hereby directed to publish
THREE: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage; :approval and publication
as provided by law.
