RESOLUTION ESTAHLISHING'PREVAILING WAGES

WHERFAS. Illinois' Revised Statutes,''Chapter 489 39s -1, 39s -1'�,
Prevailing Wage Law, as amended: :August 8, 1961, requires that the: •
public body awarding any contract for public work or doing the. work by
day labor shall ascertain the general prevailing.:hourly rate of wages
for employees engaged.in such work, and
WHEREAS, the Statutes further provide'.that said rates of pay be
publicly posted and- /or kept available for - inspection by any interested
party and -a certified .- copy thereof promptly filed-in the office of
the 'Secretary of State:
THEREFORE, BE.-IT RESOLVED-.by the Mayor. and Board "of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, 'Lake' .and Cook Counties, State- of Illinois,
that the determination of the .- prevailing wages as. set forth•in
Schedule A attached hereto and made a part hereof, are the prevailing
hourly- rates. of wages being: Maid to. -all laborers, •workmen, and
mechanics engaged in the construction of streets' or public buildings
coming -under the jurisdiction of .this.Mayor and Board of Trustees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,- that nothing herein -contained shall ' be, '
cenetlrned to apply; to the prevailing hourly rate . of wages in the
locality for employment other.than; public works construction as
defined in the Act , . and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk be..and she is
hereby authorized to.file a certified.copy of this resolution with
the Secretary of. State.
