1963 ELECTION ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield, that:
Section 1. There shall be a regular election of officers of the village
on the 16th day of April, 1963.
Section 2. At such election, there shall be elected three village
trustees for a four -year term; and a Municipal Justice for a two -year term.
The ballot to be used in such election shall be in the form prescribed by
statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to see to the preparation
of sufficient ballots for the election, and to cause a sample of such ballot
'to, be published prior to the day of election in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the Village, and to be provided the necessary election supplies
for each voting district or precinct.
Section 3. At least fifteen (15) but not more than thirty (30) days
before the election, the Clerk shall cause to be published in such newspaper
a notice of election, which shall be substantially as follows:
NOTICE OF ELECTION
On the 16th day of April, 1963, there will be a regular election
in the Village of Deerfield to elect: Three Village Trustees for
four -year terms, and a Municipal Justice for a two -year term.
The precincts and polling places for such election shall be:
PRECINCT NO. 1: All that part of the village lying south of the
center line of Deerfield Road and west of the
West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago
River (west drainage ditch).
POLLING PLACE: Wilmot School
Wilmot and Deerfield Roads
PRECINCT NO. 2: All that part of the village lying south of the
center line of Deerfield Road and east of the
West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago
River (west drainage ditch).
POLLING PLACE: Deerfield Masonic Temple
711 Waukegan Road
PRECINCT NO. 3: All that part of the village lying north of
the center line of Deerfield Road and east of
the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific R.R.
right - of -way.
.POLLING PLACE: Deerfield Village Hall
850 Waukegan Road
PRECINCT NO. 4: All that part of the village lying north of
the center line of Deerfield Road and west of
the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific R.R.
right -of -way.
POLLING PLACE: Maplewood School
Clay & Alden Courts
Polls shall be open from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M., Central Standard
Time.

Section 4. The precincts or voting districts for such election and the
polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section.
Section 5. The judges of election shall be such as shall be hereafter
designated by the President and Board of Trustees to serve as election officials.
Section 6. The said election and all matters pertaining thereto shall be
conducted in the manner prescribed by statute for the conduct of a regular
election for Village officers.
