O-63-03ORDINANCE SPECIAL ELECTION ON THE QUESTION OF LEVYING A POLICE PROTECTION TAX Be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield that: 1. There shall be submitted to the voters of the Village of Deerfield at a special . election which is hereby called to be held in and for the said Village on the 16th day of April , 1963, the following proposition: "Shall Section 11 -1: -3 of the Illinois Municipal Code permitting cities and villages containing less than five hundred thousand inhabitants to levy a tax for police protection purposes be adopted and a tax of three -hundredths- of one per cent be levied for such purposes ?" 2. The voting districts and polling places for such election at which the proposition shall be submitted shall be those established for the most recent general election of village officers. Polling places shall be open from six A.M. to six P.M. and the election shall be conducted in the same manner as elections for village officers. 3. Notice of the election shall be published in the Deerfield Review not less than twenty days nor more than thirty days prior to the date of such election, PASSED: This 22nd day of January, 1963.
