AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN ELECTRICAL COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, that:
.... (Eleotrica 1 Commission Established): There is
hereby created an Electrical Commission consisting of five
members appointed by the President with the advice and con-
sent of the Board of Trustees. The Chief Electrical Inspeo -
tor shall be a member and ex offioio chairman of such Commis-
sion; of the other four members, one shall be an Electrical
Contractor, one a Journeyman Electrician, one a representa-
tive of an Inspeotion Bureau maintained by the Fire Under-
writers ( or, if no such representative resides in the city,
then the Chief of the Fire Department), and one a representa-
tive of an Electrical supply House. Such members shall be ap-
pointed for one year and shall serve until their successors
have been appointed and qualified.
,... (Recommendations): Such Electrical Commission
shall recommend safe and practical standards and specifica-
tions for the installation, alteration and use of electrical
equipment in the city designed to meet the necessities and.
conditions in this locality, shall recommend reasonable rules
and regulations governing the issuance of permits, and fees
to be paid; however, such standards and speoifioations, rules
and regulations, and fees shall not be effective until adopted
by ordinance.
