O-62-21ORDINANCE 0 -62 -21 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR FIRE LIMITS BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, that the following changes shall be made to the Building Code of The Village of Deerfield: ARTICLE III - Fire Limits 13• BOUNDARIES.) The Fire Limits of the Village of Deerfield shall include that portion of the Village that is now or hereafter may be zoned for B -1, Neighborhood Business; B -2, Central Business; and B -3, Business District. 14. EXTERIOR COVERINGS.) It shall be unlawful to construct or erect any building or structure within the fire limits unless all exterior walls are of a nonflammable construction with a fire restricti:ve rating of not less than two hours in accordance with the National Board of Fire Underwriters rating and all roof coverings are.of incombustible, moisture resistant mat- erials; provided that this shall not operate to prohibit the construction of wooden porches, balconies or ornamental work no higher than the second story within such fire limits. 15• REPAIRS.) It shall be unlawful to repair any existing frame building within the fire limits after the same shall be damaged by any cause to the extent of fifty per cent of'its value. Any existing frame building within the fire limits may be brick veneered. 16. PENALTY.) Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this article shall be fined not less than one dollar nor more than two hun- dred dollars for each offense; and a separate offense shall be deemed com- mitted on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. This Ordinance repeals any and all other Ordinances or part of Ordi- nances in conflict herewith. PASSED: This 9th day of July, 1962. APPROVED: This 16th -day of July, 1962.
