O-61-18ORDINANCE ZONING AMENDMENT - PARKING WHEREAS the question of enacting the following amendment to the Zoning Ordinance was referred to the Plan Commission, and the Plan Commission, after holding a public hearing following publication of notice as required by law, recommended the adoption of the following ordinance: BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, that: The Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield be and the same is hereby amended as follows: 1. The first sentence of sub - paragraph 1 - Off Street Parking, of Section XVI of the said Zoning Ordinance is amended to read as follows: "For the purpose of this section, two hundred twenty (220) sq. ft. of lot or floor area, which has a means of ingress or egress from an alley or street, shall be deemed parking space for one vehicle; cruising lanes, or driveways for access to parking stalls, shall not be considered as parking areas for the purpose of this section." 2. The paragraph heading "Stores and Other Retail Establishments" which appears in sub - paragraph 1 of Section XVI of the said Zoning Ordinance is amended to read as follows: "Stores, Banks, Restaurants, Offices and Other Retail Establishments where such usa s aro permitted - 300 sq. ft. of parking space for each 200 sq. ft. of floor space in the building, to be provided on the premises or within 300 ft. of the entrance and off the street, except that restaurants or establishments in a B -1 Neighborhood Business District whose primary use is to serve meals and refreshments to patrons shall provide 300 sq. ft. of parking space for each 100 sq. ft. of floor space in the building. in addition, parking space shall be provided to conveniently accommodate one car for each three (3) employees, based on the greatest number of employees at work at one time. Cruising lanes, or driveways for access to parking stalls shall not be considered as parking areas for the purpose of this section."
