AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD
OF 1946, RELATING.TO WATER RATES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield, that:.
Section 387 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1946, as amended,! be
and the same is hereby further amended,to read as follows:

Where bills are rendered for more than one month, the amount of water used
monthly shall be determined by dividing the total cubic feet of water used
by the number of months, or portion thereof, the bill covers.
The minimum monthly charges shall be as follows:

Where the premises served has more than one family unit or business establish-
ment, the minimum rate for the premises shall be the minimum above prescribed
for each family unit or business establishment, even though the premises are
served by one meter,•and the amount shown above for cubic feet of water used
shall be multiplied by the number of such units or establishments before deter-
mining the charges for the amount of water used per month.
The charges to premises outside the corporate limits served by the municipal
water system shall be one and one -half (l2) times the charge for similar service
to premises inside the corporate limits.
Provided, however, that the charge to other taxing bodies connected to
the municipal water supply shall be at the straight rate of 30� per 100 cu. ft.
pf water except where water is purchased for resale.
Provided further that ten per cent (1 OP /o) additional shall be paid if
the bill is not paid within ten (10) days.af ter the statements are presented
or put in the mail, except that for taxing bodies, the ten per cent (103/0
additional shall not be paid.
All bills rendered after July 1, 1959 shall be� computed at the rates
hereinabove set forth.
