AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM THE
PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE WITH
RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS
824 WAUKEGAN,ROAD, DEERFIELD
WHEREAS,'the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF DEERFFIELD has petitioned
for a variation from the strict provisions of Paragraph 3 of Section V of
the Zohing;Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed May 4, :1953m as
amended, to permit the erectionoon.the..premises commonly known as 824
Waukegan Road, Deeffi'eld, of a be].]..tower,. to. a height not to exceed seventy -
one .(71) feet; and
WHEREAS, pursuant,to notice duly published „as required by statute, a
public hearing on said petition was held and conducted.by the Zoning Board
of Appeals of , the V i 1 1 age . of Dee rf,i e 1 d ; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board, of Appeals has filed,wi.th the President and
Board"of Trustees its written findings of.facx and recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF,TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:.
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendation of the Zoning
ONE: Board of Appeals is hereby concurred in and adopted as the
findings of fact bf the President and Board of Trustees.
.SECTION That there are practical d1 fficulties and particular hard=
TWO:. ship in the way.of carrying out the strict letter of the
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield
as app,lied'to Petitioner's property which .is legally described as.follows:
Lot 3, Block 2, in the Southwest,Quarter. of. Section 28,
Townsh i p 43 North* ' Rpnge- 12,, East of , the; Third 'Principal
Meridian,A n Lake County, Illinois
SECTION That a variation-from. the strict provisions of Paragraph 3
THREE: .,of. Section V of the Zoning _ OrdJnance of the V.i l lage of

to the..proper.ty hereinabove,described „is hereby,granted so „as to permit the
erection on said property of a bell tower to a height not to.,exceed seventy -

SECTION That the•variati.on hereby granted is subject to the condition
FOUR: that there.be,compliance by the Petitioner with all other
applicable ordinances of the Village:
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from

and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published as required
by statute, a public hearing on said petition was held and con-
ducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Deerfield;
and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the
President and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact and
recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendation
ONE: of the Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby con-

of the President and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That there are practical difficulties and
TWO: particular hardship in the way of carrying
out the strict letter of the provisions of the
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as applied to Peti-
tioner's ,property which is legally described as follows:

Lot 3, Block 2, in the Southwest Quarter of Section
28, Township 43 North, Range 12, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Lake County, Illinois.
SECTION That a variation from the strict provisions
THREE: of Paragraph 3 of Section V of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed
May 4, 1953, as amended, with respect to the property herein -
above described is hereby granted so as to permit the erection
on said property of a bell tower to a height not to exceed
seventy -one (71) feet.
SECTION That the variation hereby granted is subject
FOUR: to the condition that there be compliance by
the Petitioner with all other applicable ordi-
nances of the Village.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FIVE: effect from and after its passage and approval,
as provided by law. "
